If your Instagram account has been hacked, there are a few steps you can take to get it back:
Try logging in to your account. If you can’t access your account because the hacker changed your username, email address, or phone number, try logging in with your original email address or phone number. Do it. If you don’t have access to the email or phone number associated with your account, you can try logging in with your Instagram username and any email or phone number you may have used when you set up your account.
Reset your password: If you can’t log into your account because the hacker changed your password, you can try resetting it. To do this, go to the Instagram login page and click on the “Forgot password?” Enter the email address or phone number associated with your account, and Instagram will send you instructions on resetting your password.
Report the hack: If you still can’t access your account after trying to log in and reset your password, you should report the hack to Instagram. To do this, go to the Instagram login page and click “Need more help?” Tap on Then select “something isn’t working” and “report hack”. Instagram will provide you with further instructions on how to report the hack and attempt to recover your account.
Use two-factor authentication. To help protect your account from future hacks, you should enable two-factor authentication. This adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring you to enter a code sent to your phone or email each time you log in from a new device. To enable Two-Factor Authentication, go to your Account Settings and select “Two-Factor Authentication”.
Be cautious: After recovering your account, be cautious about clicking links or providing personal information, as this may make it easier for hackers to gain access to your account again. It’s also a good idea to use strong and unique passwords for all of your online accounts.
